Founder of 918 Volleyball and Married to The former University of Tulsa Head Coach Ryan Wills, Evyn has accumulated a wealth of volleyball knowledge and experience. Evyn grew up in Tulsa, OK, and graduated from Wright Christian Academy. Evyn was selected to the All-State volleyball team for four years and won state in 1999 and 2000. She played club for Team Tulsa and Hurricane Jrs. and received multiple bids to the Junior Olympics National Championships.
Evyn accepted a full-ride scholarship to The University of Tulsa where she was the first libero in program history and continued to be the starting libero for four years (2002-2005). She additionally earned Conference USA All Conference Second-Team her senior year. Evyn graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from TU and has since obtained a Master of Social Work degree from The University of Alabama. Throughout her college career Evyn would help coach for a local club and was the head coach for a 12’s team one season.
Upon graduation, Evyn served as an Assistant Coach for the University of Tulsa, helping guide the program to a conference tournament title and the program’s first ever NCAA Tournament appearance in 2007. Evyn became passionate about playing beach volleyball and competed in tournaments throughout the Midwest. In 2008, she and Ryan moved to California where she pursued beach volleyball competing in AVP Qualifiers and main draw tournaments. Evyn currently enjoys playing pickleball with her husband & son.
Ryan Wills is the current Team Manager and Assistant Coach for the NPL Pro Pickleball Team, Coachella Valley Scorpions.
Coach Wills is the former Head Volleyball Coach for The University of Tulsa. Ryan grew up in Tulsa and graduated from TU in 2008.
Wills began his stint as the Head Coach at The University of Tulsa in 2014. Under Coach Wills, Tulsa became one of the greatest defensive teams in The American Athletic Conference and statistically in the entire country. Every season he trained two players to All-Conference recognition and many Player of the Week honors. He was one of the youngest coaches in Division I volleyball and developed a successful resume with multiple top 50 rankings. Before becoming a Head Coach, he spent time as an Assistant coach at TU, the University of Alabama, and Volunteer Assistant at UCLA.
While in California, Wills was also the Beach Program Director at the Mizuno Long Beach Volleyball Club, where he developed and directed a sand volleyball program for the club. In 2009, the program won the inaugural National Club Championship for club beach volleyball.
In 3 seasons with the indoor program at Mizuno Long Beach he coached over 15 girls who received Division I scholarships. While coaching club, Will accumulated three Junior National Championship medals and assisted with the 17 Open National Championship team.
Wills also assisted with Club ONE Volleyball in Tulsa from 2006-08, where the program won three Oklahoma Regional Volleyball Association Championships and received three bids to the Junior Olympic National Championships.
